Audience

Research and Project materialization created with: Noemi Pigliapochi & Jacopo Ricci with the supervision of Matteo Guidi

2023 → Exhibited in the Palazzo Ducale of Urbino (IT)

Audience is a research and analysis project regarding the contemporary art world, which seeks to uncover the dictates of the museum figure. In particular, it investigates the ongoing evolution of the Museum of Contemporary Art and how it manifests itself in infinite forms defining itself most often in a relationship with the public.

The Museum understood as an expression of a present time in search of new modes of expression, as a place of political and institutional, educational and pedagogical representation. Within the research are short essays by Claire Bishop, Niklas Maak, Charlotte Klonk and Thomas Demand, interviews with directors Luigi Gallo (GNDM), Lorenzo Balbi (MAMbo), Stefano Bracchetti (GNDM) and Brunella Longo (CAMUSAC) and dialogues with artists Giulia Marchi, Ignasi Aballí and Marco Brugnera.

The project includes a pubblication containing research material and a printed archive of the installation presented in the Palazzo Ducale of Urbino (IT).
