Luca Marini is an Italian visual communicator, graphic designer, and multimedia artist based in Italy and the Netherlands. His interdisciplinary practice explores the intersection of visual language, technology, and social activism, fluidly shifting between editorial, digital, and web-based projects.

Co-founder of Tensione, a cultural association founded in 2023 in Urbino (IT). Tensione develops and hosts a wide range of educational and artistic events — from workshops and exhibitions to experimental music performances — fostering dialogue, peer-to-peer knowledge sharing, and creative exchange. Contributions to Tensione: Event organizer, assistant curator for art exhibitions, and workshop facilitator.

Currently a member of Cagna Rauca. CagnaRauca is a design collective born from the idea of reclaiming digital and online spaces through a queer and transfeminist lens. Specializing in editorial design, the collective brings together various designers who engage with themes of resistance using an innovative and radical approach.

Do only gays applaude? Are asexual monocellular organisms? How do people of a certain sexual orientation behave? Using stock images (from istockphoto.com), this project aims to investigate how people of different sexual orientations are portrayed and the difference of representation between them. We divided the catalog in six sections that are to represent the six major sexual orientations and, through the highlight of behavioural tag, we decided to underline the activities and actions associated to every one of them. Who does the most kissing? Who is sitting the most? Are lesbians more likely to carry each other on the shoulders or are asexuals most often seen tickling each other? One thing is certain: everybody is smiling.
